Emily Procter

 Emily Mallory Procter (born October 8th, 1968) is an American actress and activist. She was Ainsley Hayes on the NBC political drama The West Wing (2000-2002; 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne, CBS's police procedural drama CSI: Miami 2002-2012



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was born on October 8 1988. William Procter, an obstetrician had adopted her when she was a baby and Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. Procter was born in Raleigh. She was only three years old young when her parents split up. Whit her older brother is also adopted.



 



 Procter graduated from Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. While at East Carolina University, Procter joined the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Procter was employed as a television anchor for the news channel WNCT in Greenville, North Carolina. Procter eventually earned degrees in journalism dance.
